Archiving

This section allows you to specify if the Replicated Events Log entries should be archived, and how you wish to archive them via file system or SFTP upload.

Archiving Off

If archiving is off then a rolling log will be maintained with entries being cleared based on the specified maintenance interval.

Archiving File System

If file system is selected as your archiving option, then the Replicated Events Log will be archived in your file system and cleared at the specified maintenance interval.

Once this option is selected, you must complete the following fields:

Archiving Path

For this option you must enter an archiving path leading to the folder where you wish the archived events logs to be kept. Make sure that there is plenty of disk space available at this folder location. Perform periodic maintenance on the Replicated Events Log archive to assure that the disk does not fill up.

Archiving SFTP Upload

If SFTP Upload is selected as your archiving option, then the Replicated Events Log will be uploaded and archived on an SFTP server and cleared at the specified maintenance interval.

Once this option is selected, you must complete the following fields:

Replicated Events Log SFTP Server Host

Enter the DNS name for the SFTP Server Host for the Replicated Events Log.

Port

This field displays the port number used by the SFTP Server. The default is set to 22. Make sure that the firewall is open on this port to assure SFTP communication.

User Name

Enter the username for the user that has permissions to connect to the SFTP Server Host running in the Replicator service.

Authentication Type

Select the type of authentication you would like to use for access to the SFTP Server Host

Password

Complete this field if you selected Password Authentication as your Authentication Type. Enter the password for the user name specified above.

Private Key

Complete this field if you selected Public Key Authentication as your Authentication Type. Either browse to upload the private key information for the user specified above, or enter the private key information for the user name specified above.

Upload Path

Enter the upload path to a file on the SFTP Server, where Replicator will archive Replicator Event Logs.

Package Processing Settings

The event processing settings allow you to control how outbound and inbound events are handled for this web application.

Capture Events

To have Replicator capture SharePoint events, select Yes under Enable event capture for the Replication Maps on this Web Application. Otherwise, select No.

You can still replicate content by explicitly queuing replication maps. Queuing content is not affected by this setting.

Pause Package Processing

To pause replication for this web application, select Yes under Pause inbound and outbound package processing for this Web Application. To resume replication, select No.

When paused:

·Replicator continues to capture and package events from this web application for replication, but will not transfer the packages to other web applications. These packages will appear on the outbound Monitor Replication page with a NewPackage state and Active status.

·Replicator continues to accept and transfer inbound packages from other web applications, but does not apply these changes on the paused web application. These packages appear on the outbound Monitor Replication page with a TransferComplete state and Waiting status. These packages appear on the inbound Monitor Replication page with a TransferComplete state and Active status.

 
When replication resumes, outbound packages are transferred and inbound packages are applied to the web application.
