Dashboard

The dashboard in the Power Apps migration workspace presents a summary of the Power Apps discovery activities and links to important actions. The components of the dashboard are as described below:

Notification panel - presents relevant information and shortcuts to discovery activities. Appears when a notification is available.

Dashboard menu - contains the following links to common activities in the discovery process.

  • Connect to Power Apps - starts the New Test Power Apps Connection Task wizard that verifies the security requirements to connect to the Power Apps application in the source and target tenants. See Connecting to Power Apps for more information.
  • Discover All Contents - Starts the New Discover All Contents Task wizard to discover all Environments, Apps, Solutions, Flows, Gateways and Connections in the source tenant. For more information see Discovering Power Apps Content.
  • Collect Statistics - Starts the New Collect Statistics Task wizard to collect information needed for detailed premigration report which includes Power Apps Reports, Users and Object Roles in addition to Power Apps content. For more information, see Collecting Statistics.

Dashboard Tiles

  • Getting Started - displays quick start links and instructions about various actions for preparing and migrating Power Apps objects.
  • Environments - displays a summary of the Power Apps Environments in various discovery states. The title displays the total number of Environments with status. Click Show All to open the Environments List view to inspect the Workspaces.
  • Apps - displays a summary of the Power Apps in various discovery states. The title displays the total number of Apps. Click Show All to open the Apps List view to inspect the Apps.
  • Solutions - displays a summary of the Power Apps Solutions. The title displays the total number of Solutions. Click Show All to open the Solutions List view to inspect the Solutions.
  • Flows - displays a summary of the Power Apps Flows. The title displays the total number of Flows. Click Show All to open the Flows List view to inspect the Flows.
  • Connections - displays a summary of the Power Apps Connections. Click Show All to open the Connections List view to inspect the Connections.
  • Tasks - displays the five most recent tasks that were completed in the Power Apps migration workspace. The title displays the total number of tasks. Click Show All to open the Tasks List view.
  • Events - Displays the five most recent events that were completed in the Power Apps migration workspace. The title displays the total number of error events. Click Show All to open the Events List view.

Environments List View

The Environments List View is comprised of the following components:

Notification panel - presents relevant information and shortcuts to discovery activities. Appears when a notification is available.

Filter panel - consists of predefined filters for the Environments List view. See Filtering for more information about working with filters. The predefined filters are:

  • Environment State - returns a list of Environments based on the selected state.
  • Access - returns a list of Environments with the selected access authorization. See the Access column description below for filter values.

List View Actions Menu - contains links to actions and the search box. Each action is explained in greater detail in subsequent topics. See Searching for more information about working with the search box.

  • Discover - starts the New Discover Workspaces Task wizard to discover Connections in the source tenant. See Discovering Environments for more information.
  • Export - exports one or more selected Environment details to a CSV file.
  • Delete - deletes one or more selected Environments.
  • Collections - displays one or more collection that contains the environment object.
  • Edit Columns - see Managing Power Apps objects with Collections for more information.

List View - displays information about Environments in the source tenant. Use Edit Columns to show or hide columns in the list. The columns are as described below:

  • Environment State - state of the task in the discovery process. Values are as listed below:
    • Discovered - Environment discovered in the source tenant.
  • Name - name of the environment.
  • Environment Type - indicates the purpose of the environment. Values are Production, Sandbox, Trial, Developer, Organizational, and Government.
  • Environment Group - name of the group that contains this environment.
  • Apps Count - number of Apps linked to this environment.
  • Dataverse - indicates whether Dataverse is enabled for the environment. Green icon (true) indicates the environment can store and manage structured data using Dataverse. Red icon (False) indicates that the environment either does not have full Dataverse or is using other data storage solutions (like Dataverse for Teams, SharePoint or SQL) instead.
  • Access -
  • Created By - username of the person who created the environment, or SYSTEM if it was automatically created.
  • Discovered On - timestamp when the environment was discovered by the On Demand service.
  • Collections - indicates the most recent collection where the corresponding Environment is added and the number of additional collections that also contain this object.
Environment Details

When you select an Environment from the List View, the Environment Detail pane opens. The information in the pane is described below:

  • Description - name of the Environment in the source tenant.
  • Events - count of the events that occurred during one or more tasks.
  • Tasks - list of tasks invoked for the selected Environment.
  • Collections - list of collections that contain the selected Environment.

Apps List View

The Apps List View is comprised of the following components:

Notification panel - presents relevant information and shortcuts to discovery activities. Appears when a notification is available.

Filter panel - consists of predefined filters for the Apps List view. See Filtering for more information about working with filters. The predefined filters are:

  • App State - returns a list of Apps in the selected discovery state. See the App State column description below for filter values.
  • Environment Name - returns a list of Apps linked to the selected Environment.

List View Actions Menu - contains links to actions and the search box. Each action is explained in greater detail in subsequent topics. See Searching for more information about working with the search box.

  • Discover - starts the New Discover Apps Task wizard to discover Connections in the source tenant. See Discovering Apps for more information.
  • Export - exports details about one or more selected Connections to a CSV file.

List View - displays information about Apps the source tenant. Use Edit Columns to show or hide columns in the list. The columns are as described below:

  • App State - state of the task in the discovery process. Values are as listed below:
    • Discovered - App discovered in the source tenant.
  • Name - name of the source tenant App.
  • Environment Name - name of the Environment linked to this App.
  • Solution Name - name of the Solution linked to this App.
  • Type - indicates the application type such as Canvas or Model.
  • Connection References Count - indicates how many connections are referenced with the App.
  • Uses Gateway - indicates whether or not the App uses a Gateway.
  • Owner - indicates the owner of the App.
  • Access - indicates if the Quest On Demand service principal has Administrator access to the Dataverse. The icons used are as follows:
    • RED icon - Quest On Demand service principal is missing or does not have the Administrator role.
    • GREEN icon - Quest On Demand service principal has the Administrator role.
    • GREY icon - there is no Dataverse and the Quest On Demand does not require access.
  • Last Modified - timestamp of the most recent update to the App when it was discovered..
  • Discovered On - date and time the source tenant App was discovered by a discovery task.
  • Collections - indicates the most recent collection where the corresponding App is added and the number of additional collections that also contain this object.
App Details

When you select an App from the List View, the App Detail pane opens. The information in the pane is described below:

  • Description - name of the App in the source tenant.
  • Events - count of the events that occurred during one or more tasks.
  • Tasks - list of tasks invoked for the selected App.
  • Collections - list of collections that contain the selected App.

Solutions List View

The Solutions List View is comprised of the following components:

Notification panel - presents relevant information and shortcuts to discovery activities. Appears when a notification is available.

Filter panel - consists of predefined filters for the Solutions List view. See Filtering for more information about working with filters. The predefined filters are:

  • Solution State - returns a list of Solutions.
  • Environment Name - returns a list of Solutions linked to the selected Environment.
  • Type - returns a list of Solutions of a selected type: Managed or Unmanaged.

  • Discovered On - date and time the source tenant Solution was discovered by a discovery task.
  • Collections - indicates the most recent collection where the corresponding Solution is added and the number of additional collections that also contain this object.
Solution Details

When you select a Solution from the List View, the Solution Detail pane opens. The information in the pane is described below:

  • Description - name of the Solution in the source tenant.
  • Events - count of the events that occurred during one or more tasks.
  • Tasks - list of tasks invoked for the selected Solution.
  • Collections - list of collections that contain the selected Solution.

Flows List View

The Flows List View is comprised of the following components:

  • Description - name of the Flow in the source tenant.
  • Events - count of the events that occurred during one or more tasks.
  • Tasks - list of tasks invoked for the selected Flow.
  • Collections - list of collections that contain the selected Flow.

Connections List View

The Connections List View is comprised of the following components:

Notification panel - presents relevant information and shortcuts to discovery activities. Appears when a notification is available.

Filter panel - consists of predefined filters for the Connections List view. See Filtering for more information about working with filters. The predefined filters are:

  • Connection State - returns a list of Connections in the selected discovery state. See the Connection State column description below for filter values.
  • Status - returns a list of Connections that are either Connected or Error(not connected).
  • Type - see the Type column description below for filter values.

  • Id - GUID of the connection.
  • Gateway - name of the gateway that is used by the connection.
  • Created By - username of the person who created the environment, or SYSTEM if it was automatically created.
  • Discovered On - date and time the source tenant connection was discovered by a discovery task.
  • Collections - indicates the most recent collection where the corresponding Connection is added and the number of additional collections that also contain this object.
Connection Details

When you select a Power App Connection from the List View, the Connection Detail pane opens. The information in the pane is described below:

  • Description - name of the Connection in the source tenant.
  • Events - count of the events that occurred during one or more tasks.
  • Tasks - list of tasks invoked for the selected Connection.
  • Collections - list of collections that contain the selected Connection.
