After upgrade, Data Copy and Consolidated backup job on Linux fails

After upgrading NetVault Backup to version 11.4 or later, Data Copy and Consolidated backup job (Primary job of Windows client with Active Directory) running on NetVault Backup Server on Linux machine fails.

After upgrading NetVault Backup from to version 11.4 or later, primary backup index gets corrupted. Hence, rerunning older Data Copy and Consolidated backup job fails. Also, new Data Copy and Consolidated backup job from the older full backup set fails.

To correct the issue, after upgrading NetVault Backup to version 11.4 or later, rerun the older full backup job, and then rerun the older or new Data Copy and Consolidated backup job.

After upgrade, console error is displayed on WebUI pages

After upgrading NetVault Backup to version 12.3, console error is displayed on various WebUI pages.

After upgrading NetVault Backup to version 12.3, console error is displayed on various WebUI pages due to changed ‘localStorage’ and ‘sessionStorage’ functions.

To correct the issue, after upgrading NetVault Backup to version 12.0 or later, clear browser cache and then reload WebUI page.

Deployment task hangs on target Linux machine during push installation.

During push installation of NetVault Backup Client on the target Linux machine the deployment tasks keeps running without installing the package.

The task logs displays the following log message:

Request sent to launch installation agent on the remote machine

Perform the following actions before running the task again on the target Linux machine, as the user configuration is incorrect to get sudoers privilege:

Unable to add package store with hostname.

Adding package store with hostname fails with the following error:

Error: Failed to connect to store: 'Error while accessing package store. Check for mount permission”

On Linux-based NetVault Backup Server an error message is displayed to check the mount permission.

Ping the share directory with the hostname, if the share directory does not responds to the ping, you need to check the host configurations and the DNS configuration.
