Foglight for Exchange : Foglight for Exchange views : Cluster views
A cluster is a group of individual computers that act like a single system enabling the availability of a service or application to client computers in the network. Foglight for Exchange provides metrics about the following high availability frameworks:
•
Single Copy Cluster (SCC) - a clustered mailbox server deployment available in Exchange Server 2007.
•
Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) - a clustered mailbox server deployment available in Exchange Server 2007.
•
Database Availability Group (DAG) - can contain of up to 16 Exchange Server 2010, 2013, or 2016 Mailbox servers which are configured to replicate mailbox databases between the Mailbox servers that are members of the DAG.
The following views are available to monitor the health of the Exchange clusters in your environment.

Foglight for Exchange : Foglight for Exchange views : Cluster views : Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view
The Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view displays a cluster tile for the selected cluster that lists the active and passive nodes or databases included in the selected cluster. In addition to the cluster tile, this view displays more detailed environment information about the Exchange cluster.
Foglight for Exchange supports three types of clusters (SCC, CCR, and DAG). The following illustration shows the Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view for a DAG cluster.

How to get here

From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Environment.

From the Monitoring tab, select the Clusters tile.

From the Object Tree view, select an individual cluster object.
The Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view appears in the Object Summary view of the Cluster Quick View on the Exchange Environment dashboard.
Embedded views
The cluster tile displays the following information:
•
name of the cluster
•
cluster type
•
cluster IP address
•
Exchange version
•
number of cluster alarms in each state
•
number of active and passive nodes or databases

The Exchange Clusters Explorer Summary (All Clusters) view displays detailed resource metrics and information about the Exchange clusters being monitored.

How to get here
1
From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.
2
From the Exchange Infrastructure panel, select the Clusters object container.
The Exchange Clusters Explorer Summary (All Clusters) view appears in the Primary view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard.
Embedded views
The following embedded views are displayed:
•
Clusters Listing view
•
Alarms view

How to get here
1
From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.

Use one of the following methods to display this view:
•
From the Exchange Infrastructure view (under Dashboards in the navigation panel), select an individual cluster object.
•
From the Clusters tile (at the top of the Summary view), select the Clusters icon, title or count. On the Other Items Inventory dialog, select an individual cluster.

Select the Summary navigation tab.
The Exchange Cluster Explorer Summary view appears in the Primary view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

NOTE: You can also click the view in Explorer link on that cluster’s Exchange Cluster Environment Summary view to display this view.
Embedded views
The following embedded views are displayed:
•
A tile indicating the number of active databases or storage groups in the cluster
•
A tile indicating the number of passive databases or storage groups in the cluster
•
Cluster Summary and Resource Information view
•
Exchange Servers in This Cluster view
•
Cluster Database Details view or Cluster Storage Group Details view
•
Alarms view
