Exchange Server Environment Summary view

Foglight for Exchange : Foglight for Exchange views : Exchange Server views : Exchange Server Environment Summary view
The Exchange Server Environment Summary view displays a server tile for the selected Exchange server that lists the Exchange features enabled on the server. In addition to the Exchange server tile, this view displays resource metrics and environment information about the selected Exchange server.

NOTE: If the Server Health metrics are not appearing on this view, check the Host Collector setting on the agent’s properties page. The VMware option is selected by default. If Foglight for Exchange, Foglight for Hyper-V, or Foglight for Infrastructure cartridge is being used to collect the host metrics, this setting must be set to the appropriate option.

How to get here
1
From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Environment.

From the Monitoring tab, select the Servers tile.

From the Object Tree view, select an individual server object.
The Exchange Server Environment Summary view appears in the Object Summary view of the Server Quick View on the Exchange Environment dashboard.

NOTE: You can also select a server in the Exchange Servers Environment Summary (All Exchange Servers) view to display this view.
Embedded views
The Exchange Server Environment Summary view displays a server tile for the selected Exchange server.

An Exchange Server tile displays the following information:
•
name of the Exchange server
•
current state of the highest alarm on the Exchange server
•
whether the server is a Mail Server or a Role Server
•
Exchange version installed on the server
•
Exchange roles assigned to the server
•
number of mailboxes on the Mail Server
•
Windows® operating system running on the Exchange server
In addition to the Exchange server tile, the following embedded views are displayed:
•
IP Address view
•
Host Monitor view
•
Agent State view
•
Server Health view
•
Exchange Roles Server Summary view
•
Alarms view

Exchange Servers Explorer Summary (All Exchange Servers) view

The Exchange Servers Explorer Summary (All Exchange Servers) view displays more detailed resource metrics and information about all of the monitored Exchange servers in your environment.

How to get here
1
From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.
2
From the Exchange Infrastructure view (under Dashboards in the navigation panel), select the Servers container object.
The Exchange Servers Explorer Summary (All Exchange Servers) view appears in the Primary view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

The Exchange Server Explorer Summary view displays more detailed resource metrics and information about the selected Exchange server.

NOTE: If the resource utilization metrics and data are not appearing on this view, check the Host Collector setting on the agent’s properties page. The VMware option is selected by default. If Foglight for Exchange, Foglight for Hyper-V, or Foglight for Infrastructure cartridge is being used to collect the host metrics, this setting must be set to the appropriate option.

How to get here

From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.

Use one of the following methods to display this view:
•
From the Exchange Infrastructure view (under the Dashboards in the navigation panel), select an individual server object.
•
From the Servers tile (at the top of the Summary view), click the Servers icon, title or count. On the Exchange Servers Inventory dialog, select an individual server.

Select the Summary navigation tab.
The Exchange Server Explorer Summary view appears in the Primary view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard.

How to get here
1
From the Foglight navigation panel, select Dashboards > Exchange > Exchange Explorer.

Use one of the following methods to display this view:
•
From the Exchange Infrastructure view (under the Dashboards in the navigation panel), select an individual server object.
•
From the Servers tile (at the top of the Summary view), click the Servers icon, title or count. On the Exchange Servers Inventory dialog, select an individual server.

Select the Summary navigation tab.

Click the Resource Utilization title or the Details link in the upper right-hand corner of the Resource Utilization view.
The Resource Utilization Details view appears in the Primary view on the Exchange Explorer dashboard.
