Understanding search sequences results

The Search Sequences table may contain some or all of the following columns. To hide/show columns, click the Customizer icon (beside the Search field) and select the columns to show.
When a sequence belongs to a session, the Session Explorer and Session Detail View icons appear in this column. You can view session details by clicking these icons.
NOTE: For a custom field to appear in search results, the custom field’s Storage option must be set to Show in search results or First column in search results. See “Defining custom fields” in the online help.

Investigating sequence results

Status—look for icons other than the Normal icon. A sequence event can be used to set the status of a sequence. APM Administrators define and manage sequence analyzers.
Events—look for patterns across all sequences. Did many users abandon the critical path at the same event? Why might that be?
Duration—click this column heading to sort the sequences from longest to shortest. You may want to investigate why some sequences were extra long (was it due to slow response times?) or very short (did the user abandoned the critical path or was the sequence terminated by an error?).
Custom Fields—custom fields can help you understand the placement of a sequence within the user’s entire session. The Initial Referer tells you which page the user visited before starting the critical path.
