Agents from Pool

This counter shows the number of agents assigned from the agent pool. Use this value along with the value for Agents created from pool to determine if the agent pool is being used efficiently. Consider the following:

  • A high ratio of created agents can indicate two things:

    • The NUM_POOLAGENTS parameter should be increased.
    • The overall workload for this partition is too high. Try lowering the number of coordinating agents or reducing the workload.
  • A low ratio could indicate that NUM_POOLAGENTS is set too high. What this means is there are seldom used agents residing in the pool that are unnecessarily using system resources.
