Play back a script

The following provides the procedure for play back of a script.

Click Play.

 

Insert validation rules

Validation rules allow you to verify the following:

Anchors—validates an anchor HREF.
Images—validates an image SCR attribute.
Frames—validates the structure of the frame set.
Source—ensures that the source of specified frames contains the text entered.
Java Script—executes the Java Script entered and has the ability to raise a warning or error if the script determines that the page is not what it should be.

Click the Click:Foglight Transaction Recorder instruction in the Script window.

View results

After playing back a script, the Foglight Transaction Recorder window provides charts to analyze script results. You can analyze detailed results of individual transactions, including download times, sizes, throughput, network results, and errors.

In the Scripts window, click the instructions for which you want to view the results. The results for that instruction display in the Analysis window.

Publish scripts to Foglight

After recording, scripts are published to Foglight for playback on the Transaction Player Agent. The Transaction Player Agent verifies that Web transactions are meet the response time expectations.

The Foglight browser interface allows you to define the monitoring interval/frequency, push the script to the player agent, and create service models. Refer to the Foglight Transaction Player User and Reference Guide for procedures on viewing script playback results on Foglight.
