Upgrade the cartridge from version 5.6.x to version 5.9.x

Use the Agent Setup wizard (Application Servers > Administration > Application Server Administration dashboard) to create a new installation. Creating the installation will upgrade the existing agents.

Upgrade Foglight for IBM WebSphere MQ Server

The latest version of Foglight for IBM WebSphere MQ Server is 5.5.5.11.

Foglight for IBM WebSphere MQ Server 5.5.5.11 requires Management Server version 5.6.5 or later.

From the Agent Status dashboard (Administration > Agents > Agent Status), select and deactivate all MQAgent instances.

Install the 5.5.5.11 cartridge (MQ-5_5_5_11.car) on the Management Server. For cartridge installation instructions, see “Installing Foglight cartridges” in the Foglight Administration and Configuration Help.

Upgrade Foglight for PeopleSoft

The latest version of Foglight for PeopleSoft is version 5.6.13. Upgrades are supported from versions 5.6.12, 5.6.11, 5.6.10, 5.6.2.1, 5.6.2, 5.6.0, 5.5.2.1, 5.5.2, 5.5.0.1, and 5.2.6.

The Agent Manager must be installed on all the hosts that you want to monitor.

NOTE: Before running fglcmd, you have to unzip <foglight_home>/tools/fglcmd.zip to a local directory, or to <foglight_home>/bin if you are going to use the Management Server machine. For more information, see the Foglight Command-line Reference Guide.
