Unified Messaging Features view

This embedded view is displayed in Unified Messaging Role Explorer Summary view. The metrics displayed depend on the Unified Messaging feature selected in the Role Features State view.

When Auto Attendant is selected in the Unified Messaging tile, this view displays the following metrics for the server selected in the server list.

Avg. Recent Call Duration. This counter shows the average duration of the most recent calls that interacted with the auto attendant.

Average Call Duration. This graph charts the average length of time that callers interacted with the auto attendant.

% Successful Calls. This counter displays the percent of successful calls processed by this auto attendant during the specified time interval.

Calls Processed By Auto Attendant. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Out Of Hours Calls. Shows the number of calls processed by this auto attendant outside of business hours.
Business Hour Calls. Shows the number of calls processed by this auto attendant during business hours.
Total Calls. Shows the number of calls that have been processed by this auto attendant.

Disconnected Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected By UM On Irrecoverable Error. Shows the total number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.
Calls Disconnected Without Input. Shows the number of calls that were dropped without input being offered in response to the auto attendant prompts.

When Call Answering is selected in the Unified Messaging tile, this view displays the following metrics for the server selected in the server list.

Call Answering Voice Messages/sec. This counter shows the number of calls that are being diverted each second to the voice messaging system.

Diverted Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Answered. Shows the number of diverted calls that were answered on behalf of subscribers.
Calls Missed. Shows the number of times a diverted call was dropped without a message being left.

Disconnected Calls. This graph charts the following metrics over the specified time interval:

Calls Disconnected By UM On Irrecoverable Error. Shows the total number of calls that have been disconnected after an irrecoverable external error occurred.
Calls Disconnected By Callers During UM Audio Hourglass. Shows the number of calls in which the caller was disconnected while UM was playing the audio hourglass tones.

Failed Calls Because Transport Unavailable. This graph charts the number of calls that failed because the transport service is not available to submit the message.

This embedded view is part of the Exchange Server Explorer Summary view.

This view displays a list of core OS and Exchange services running on the selected server.

Core OS Services. This list displays the core OS services being monitored on the selected server and their present state.

Exchange Services. This list displays the Exchange services being monitored on the selected server and their present state.

Click on a service link to display additional details about the selected service.

Foglight for Exchange rules

Foglight for Exchange includes a number of predefined rules to monitor all critical components of Exchange on a continuous basis to ensure that the Exchange organization is functioning properly. The rules included in Foglight for Exchange alert you to key conditions that may affect the health of Exchange. Foglight allows you to modify these predefined rules or create your own rules to ensure you are monitoring statistics and alerting on conditions specific to your Exchange environment.

Foglight for Exchange provides additional dashboards for managing Foglight for Exchange rules:

Rules dashboard (Dashboards > Administration > Rules > All)
Exchange Rule Management dashboard (Dashboards > Exchange > Rule Management)

This section describes the Exchange Rule Management dashboard and explains the tasks that can be performed from this dashboard:

Rules dashboard

The Rules dashboard lists all rules that exist in your environment and allows you to drill down to rule definitions. From this dashboard you can copy, edit, and remove Foglight rules.
