The following error is encountered by the Archive Manager Data Load Service:
“There was an unhandled exception in this application
Exception Source: Archive Manager Data Load Service
Exception Type: System.Exception
Exception Message: No User DN specified for logging in to server Server_Name.
Exception Target Site”
As a result, the MAPI Data Loader is unable to connect to the server and journal emails are not processed.
This error occurs when the MAPI Data Loader configuration is missing a journal mailbox name.
The MAPI Data Loader requires a valid journal mailbox (User DN) to authenticate and collect journal messages. If this mailbox is not specified in the configuration, the service cannot log in and throws the error.
To resolve this issue, configure the journal mailbox for the MAPI Data Loader:
Open the Archive Manager Administration website.
Navigate to the Data Loaders tab.
Locate MAPI Data Loader.
Specify the name of the mailbox used for journaling.
Save the configuration.
Restart the Archive Manager Data Load Service if required.
