Recovery Manager for AD Product Notification

Return
Product Release

Important Note: With the increased threat of ransomware, it’s recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of Recovery Manager for Active Directory. You can upgrade directly from version 10.0 or later. If you have an earlier version, the best practice is to upgrade the product to any of the supported versions, and then upgrade it to the latest version.

We are excited to announce a new release of Recovery Manager for AD.

Look what's new 10.2:

  • SCOM 2019 support
  • Rename system state backups to Active Directory backups
  • Display operating system version for all backups
  • See the release notes for details on enhancements, corrections and improvements.

New features only available with a Recovery Manager for AD Disaster Recovery Edition license:

  • Secure Storage – Protect AD backups from malware infection with Secure Storage, a hardened server that is isolated according to IPSec rules with regular checks to confirm backup integrity. Even if you lose your DCs, Tier 1 storage and even your Recovery Manager server, you still have the Secure Storage backup that is hardened and secure to withstand the ransomware attack.
  • Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine Creation – Quickly and easily create Microsoft Azure resources including virtual machines during a forest recovery. This enables you to recover AD to a readily available, secure and cost-effective machine that you can trust is clean from malware.
  • See the release notes for details on enhancements, corrections and improvements.

Recovery Manager for AD 10.0.x is in limited support and scheduled to discontinue support on March 17, 2022.

To determine the current support phase of your product, please refer to the Recovery Manager for AD life cycle table.
