Weekly Time Entries

The Weekly Time Entry feature lets you post time entries to your own tasks on a week-to-week basis.

To post a weekly time entry:

Select Tools | Time Entry.
Stat opens Time Entry window, which displays a list of all your open tasks with time entry fields for each day in the current week.
If you want to post time entries for an earlier week, click Select Week.... Then in the Select Week End Date dialog box, click the Browse button (...) and select the week you want from the calendar. Click OK to close the dialog box.

Configure the display properties of the Time Entry window as needed by selecting from the following options:

Hide tasks with no hours – Check this box to hide from view tasks with no hours posted

Auto-Update% Complete – Check this box if you want Stat automatically to update the % field for each task based on the total actual hours

Select the daily time entry field corresponding to the task and day for which you want to post hours. Then enter the number of hours you worked.

Click Apply.

Repeat for each time entry you want to post. When finished, click OK.

Opening Projects

Stat projects let you manage complex business changes from one location. By incorporating multiple CSRs and tasks, Stat projects help users understand high-level functions that span across service domains. For example, you can run a bill report on a project and determine the cost of every task involved in implementing an overall business strategy.

By way of illustration, consider a project created to address the many issues surrounding a PeopleSoft upgrade. PeopleSoft has many functions, changes to which impact other business units in your organization, such as CSRs in different service domains. Let's say you have a training domain, a change management domain, and an infrastructure domain; since your upgrading effort is supported by CSRs in each of these domains, you can group them all in a project and monitor them from a single window.

To open a new project, select File | New Project. Stat opens a blank Project window.

To open an existing project, do one of the following:

From a Project tab in the Support Console, double-click on a project, or select it and click Open Project.
•
If a CSR is associated with a project, you can open that project by double-clicking in the Project field within the CSR.
To search for a project:

Select File | Open Project.
Stat opens the Search Project Engine window.

Select the search criteria and enter the search value in the Search Value field.

To locate open projects only, select the Open Projects Only option.

Click Search.
Stat returns a list of projects matching your search criteria.

Double-click the project you want to open, or select it and click OK.

Projects associate multiple CSRs with a single entity. They are a good way to track large jobs that have many steps or tasks. You can track as a project any job that encompasses many phases, requires a variety of resources, and crosses over service domains.

The Project window is divided into 2 regions:

The General Project Information region

The Project Detail Information region, which includes the CSRs, Task/Activity, and Issues tabs
