One of the following DB2 node types are shown in this field:

Local and remote clients—A server side product with local and remote support for database clients. This node type can also access remote database servers.
Requestor —A database client that can access remote database servers.
Local clients—A database management system with local support for database clients. This node type can also access remote database servers.
Partitioned server—A server side product with local and remote support for database clients. This node type can also access remote database servers and has partition parallelism capability.
Satellite—A database management system with local support for database clients. This node type can also access remote database servers.
DCS —Mainly used for a database accessed by using DB2 Connect.
