Alternatively, for physical appliances, if you enabled SSH for a user account, you can use an SSH client to access appliances remotely. The following two procedures describe how to use SSH from a Microsoft® Windows®-based or UNIX®-based computer:
If you want to launch the Console Program from a computer running Microsoft® Windows®, you need to install an SSH client, such as PuTTY. You can download PuTTY from http://rc.vintella.com/topics/putty/. It takes only a few minutes to install.

In the Host Name (or IP address) box, type an appliance’s Control Port IP address or DNS name. |
