To transfer support files to a Windows® system, you use WinSCP. You can download WinSCP from http://winscp.net/eng/download.php.

Launch WinSCP from your Microsoft® Windows workstation. |

To create a new connection, click New and specify the following options: |

File protocol — Select SCP. |
|
• |
Port number — Use the default port number 22. |
|
• |
Host name —Type the host name or IP address of the appliance. |
|
• |
User name —Type an SSH-enabled Console Program account name. |
|
• |
Password — Type the password for the account. |
|

To log out of the appliance and close the WinSCP window, click the Close button in the top right corner. |
Most UNIX® systems including Linux® comes with a SCP utility called scp. File transfer are one way only — from the appliance to the Linux system.

If you encounter problems with a Management Server on an appliance, contact Quest Support. You may be asked to generate a support bundle as described in Creating support bundles. You may also be instructed on how to start the Management Server in debug mode to gather more information.

The appliance.config file enables you to change a subset of the settings found in the server.config file and other Foglight configuration files. |
