Database Tools License Portal - How to transfer Database Tools Subscription Licenses?

The ownership of a license can be transferred via the Database Tools License Portal to:

1. An organization account e.g Acme Corp.
2. An individual Quest account e.g jane@mail.com.

The Database Tools License Portal is designed for the following products:
Toad for Oracle Subscription
Toad Edge

Follow the below steps using the License Portal to transfer ownership of a license to an organization or personal account.

Prerequisite:

Having permission to make the transfer which requires the user has the following roles:

• License Owner for the license being transferred.  
  The License Owner role can be assigned by another License Owner via the Admin tab of the License Details page for the license via the License Portal.
• Organization Owner of the organization that the license is being transferred to.
  The Organization Owner role can be assigned by another Organization Owner via the People tab of the Organization Details page for the license via the License Portal. 

Steps:

1. Locate the license that is to be transferred in the Personal Licenses or Organization Licenses dashboard and open the License Overview page.
2. Select the Transfer tab and click the Transfer button.
3. Select the organization or account name to transfer the license to (if an organization does not yet exist then one must be created first). 
4. Check the checkbox to agree to the ramifications of transferring the ownership of a license.
5. Click the Transfer License button to complete the transfer of ownership for the license.

Additional Notes: • All existing License Owners, License Admins and License Users assigned to a license will be transferred with the license to the destination. If the license is being transferred to an organization they will become members of that organization. • Following the transfer any License Owners, or License Admins that are no longer required can be deleted via the License Overview page | Admins tab. License Users can be deleted via the Seats tab of the License Details page. • Providing the user has permissions any transfer of a license can be reversed by simply repeating the transfer process and transferring the license back to the original owner.
