The database tools license portal provides Roles Based Access Control feature to make the management of licenses and people using those licenses easier.
Using the following roles enables different people in a team to be assigned different roles depending on their responsibilities. For better management, there are roles at the license level and at the organization level.
License RolesRole Description License Owner They are powerful and can purchase upgrades, manage subscription status, and manage seats. They can manage license roles, transfer licenses, enable approval-based seat provisioning, and view the activity audit log of a license. They can occupy a seat on a license. License Admin They can manage seats, remove other admins from a license, and enable approval-based seat provisioning. They can occupy a seat on a license. License User They can occupy a seat on a license. They can view details of a license and it’s occupied seats, and abandon their own seats.
Organization RolesRole Description Organization Owner They are powerful and can manage the organization, it's members and member roles. They can transfer licenses and view the activity audit log of the organization. They can become a member of the organization. Organization Member They can become a member of the organization. They can view the organization profile, and it's members.
