The Management Service stores preferences and other information in a repository database. You specify the Microsoft SQL Server host for the database when you install the Metalogix Backup for SharePoint components. The SQL Server host that you select should be compatible with the installed SharePoint version, as described in the following table.

NOTE: If the Metalogix Backup for SharePoint Repository will be located on a SQL Alias then the SQL Alias registry should be created for both 32-bit and 64-bit operation with the respective versions of the cliconfg.exe tool. Otherwise there could be a SQL server connection error problem. |
