Error: The server is not operational displayed when trying to get user or group from trusted domains (4377260)

When trying to search for the users or groups from a trusted domain from the Group and User Management module using the Network node, the error message 'Error: The service is not operational' is displayed.

You will need to add a search scope to access trusted domains:

• Add a trusted domain account to the Local Administrators group of the Security Explorer server.
• Right click the Security Explorer console and select Run as different user to login with the account from the trusted domain.
• Click the Search tab available in the Group and User Management module, then click the Add Scope button.
• From the Add Search Scope window, click the arrow next to Active Directory and select the OUs where users and groups will be searched and click OK.
• Click the Start Search button to initiate the search within the selected OUs.
