Preinstalled mode was deployed to both, source and target DCs. DC names are properly populated in DSA properties in Agent Manager. Names are resolveable. Agent service is up and running on both DCs. Firewall was stopped for testing purposes and 3rd party AV software removed.
When attempting migration, it fails with DSA log entry:
To resolve the issue, please do the following.
On DCs, which are usually running 64-bit OS:
- open PowerShell in x86/32bit mode and run preinstalled mode removal script (run as admin)
- reboot DC, then verify that: agent service has gone and aelagentms64.exe/.cnt files are gone from c:\windows\syswow64. If not, delete files manually.
- open PowerShell in 64bit mode and run installation script again (run as admin). Reboot DC one more time
- verify that agent service is up and running and pointing to aelagentms64.exe in c:\windows\system32 folder
On DSA machine, open PowerShell in 32bit (run as admin) regardless if OS is 64 or 32bit and run enable preinstalled mode script. This will create Preinstalled=1 with all necessary keys under HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Aelita\... branch. Make sure that dirsync is stopped when doing this.
