Regather Structure fails with "Unspecified error". (4272142)

When running Regather Structure it fails with the error:

"The following error occurred during the processing of a given gathering:Unspecified error. The following error occurred during the processing of a given gathering: Unspecified error."

The Exchange server used as the connection server is off line.

1. In the MessageStats console, expand Exchange Organizations and right click on your Organization name and select Properties.
2. Click the connection server tab.
3. Change the connection server by typing the NETBIOS name of an Exchange Server that is on line.
4. Click on Validate.
5. Click OK and run the Regather Structure again.
