Foglight Installation: SQLException: Network error IOException: Connection refused: Connect (4311661)

Foglight installation using a SQL server repository failed. The installer fails to connect to the external SQL server database. 

FGL-16128 filed to improve the installer and documenation to handle named instances and non-standard ports for SQL server installations.

Workaround 1
GUI installer for Foglight

• When queried for SQL server settings
• Server Name - insert the <SQL server instance address>\<Named instance>
  or
• Server Name - insert the <SQL service instance address>,<port number>

Workaround 2
For Linux commandline installs with Microsoft SQL Server respository

• Complete the standard install using the embedded MYSQL database.  Do not start the FMS automatically.
• Contact support for the Foglight SQL Server repository database install scripts
• Ensure that the FMS application is off
• Modify the <FMS home>/config/server.config file
• server.database.host = "<replace with host IP>";
  server.database.port = "<replace with the correct port>";
  Note:  If named instance is used in place of port, please use the named instance name
              for example: server.database.port = "fglinstance";
