"Error in get_valid_resolutions because RAC nodes are not registered in server" in Oracle RAC agent performance dashboard (4289562)

Oracle database agent Performance pages for specific RAC nodes display the following message in place of metrics data:

Error in get_valid_rsolution: RemoteException occurred in server thread; nested exception is java.rmi.ReportExceptiion: Cannor invoke get_valid_resolutions method. Reason : agent id [MYINSTANCE-MYSERVER] is not registered in server

There were agents with names the same as the RAC nodes created previously and deleted, but the topology for the older Oracle database agents still remained in the system.

Duplicate Topologies.

Reset the topology information for the Oracle database agent and clear the topology duplication from the FMS.

1. In the Administration  | Agents | Agent Status page, deactivate the database agent.
2. Open Databases > Support Dashboard > Database technical Support
3. Switch to the Oracle tab
4. Click on Clear Agent data
5. Highlight the agent which is encountering the issue
6. Click on the Delete button
7. Click on Clear Agent Model Data
8. Highlight the agent which is encountering the issue
9. Click on the Delete button
10. Activate the agent from Administation > Agents > Agent Status
11. Return to the Oracle Performance page and select a RAC node to confirm that the metrics data is present.
