For customers with unique needs who design their own reports with Crystal Reports, you can design the desired reports to your exact specifications, then launch them from the Help Desk Authority (HDA) interface.
In order to launch the custom reports from the HDA interface, Crystal Reports Runtime will need to be installed on every Workstation running the HDA Windows Client and the server (optional).
A Reports directory must be specified in the System Options of Help Desk Authority. All reports, including the custom reports, will reside in the directory you specified. This is done by going to Administration | System Options | Directories Tab | Reports. More details about Reports can be viewed in the HDA User Guide, Chapter 7.
NOTE: Users must have permissions to access the reports repository folder.
Please Contact Support to get the Crystal Reports Runtime.msi installation file, if needed.
Run the installation file on every Workstation where the HDA Windows Client was installed.
NOTE: The custom reports in Help Desk Authority for Web will only work with Crystal Reports version 10.5 or higher. If using an older version of Crystal Reports, the custom reports will not work with Help Desk Authority.
