Backup fails with "The database trasaction was rolled back" error for CentOS or RedHat Linux VMs
Descrição

The backup of a CentOS or RedHat Linux VM fails with the above error (the backup seems to complete, but fails at the very end).
Causa

CentOS and RedHat Linux have "custom" VMTools installs that are available for them. These custom tools installations have virtual hardware drivers that are not able to be enumerated by the vRanger backup, during the creation of the vmconfig.metadata file (this is the file that tells vRanger how to reconstruct the VM if it needs to be restored.)
Resolução

1) Uninstall the custom VMTools installs for these "flavors" of Linux.

2) Install the STANDARD VMTools for Linux package(s) for these machines (will require a reboot of the guest OS).

3) Re-try the backup. It should now complete.
