Create monitoring user for agent. User should have SELECT, PROCESS, REPLICATION CLIENT (if monitoring replication), and SUPER (for MySQL versions below 5.1.24). User should have as host either ‘%’ or the hostname of the location where the agent will be run from.
If desired, create administrative user with all privileges or all desired privileges. If all privileges are not granted, some administrative functions may not be available.
Refer to the Foglight for MySQL Installation and Troubleshooting guide Debugging section for help if the agent has not started or does not seem to be collecting data.
