Failure to install OST Plugin on BUE Servers versions 15 and 16. Errors, Setup requires "Veritas Backup Exec ' services to be stopped. Please stop services and run setup again -
Causa
Install should be executed from a run as admin command prompt so the permissions can appropriate stopping required BUE services. -
Resolução
Launch the command prompt as admin and navigate to the location of the OST plugin
Located the file and run the install from the command prompt
An install dialogue box should appear with instructions
Step through the directions and finish the install.
Install should complete, check if OST plugin is running in Windows.
Restart BUE services.
WORKAROUND 2
Go to Control Panel and uninstall old OST plugin and then re-install new plugin.
