How to remove decommissioned Domain Controller from Auditing & Alerting | Agents (4316937)

Resolution 1

In the example below, the highlighted domain controller was decommissioned without uninstalling the audit agent first. 

How to remove the decommissioned domain controller from the audit agents list:

From the "More" drop-down menu, select "Excluded Domain Controllers". 

Add the decommissioned server to the "Excluded" list:

Refresh the audit agents page, and the excluded decommissioned domain controller will no longer appear:

Resolution 2

This option allows you to remove the decommissioned domain controller via SQL. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Verify that there is a current backup copy of the database before making any changes. 

• Log onto the SQL server and launch SQL Server Management Studio.
• Expand "Databases" and then expand the Active Administrator database.
• Expand "Tables".
• Right click on the "tblComputer" table and select "Edit Top 200 Rows".

• Locate the decommissioned DC record.
• Change the "IsInstalled" value from "True" to "False".
• Click on another record in the tblComputer table to save the change.
• Close the tblComputer table.
• Logoff the SQL instance.
• Exit the SQL Server Management Studio.
• Re-launch the Active Administrator Console.
• Expand "Auditing & Alerting | Agents"

The decommissioned DC should no longer appear in the Agents list.
