We are excited to announce a new release of Metalogix ControlPoint.
Look what's new 8.7:
- The legacy Discovery timer job (for ControlPoint on premises) and the Discovery scheduled task (for ControlPoint Online) have been removed. Going forward, ControlPoint Discovery can only be performed using the newer and more performant ControlPoint Discovery Service. Once it is installed and configured, ControlPoint Application Administrators can also now run and monitor the Discovery Service interactively from within the ControlPoint application.
- Updated report interface to make better use of high resolution (1080p+) displays.
- For improved loading time, the SharePoint Summary dashboard statistics are now populated with cached data collected by the ControlPoint Discovery Service.
- NOTE: If you are upgrading from a previous version of ControlPoint, the dashboard will be re-populated with cached data. However, Content Database Size will only be populated after the next Discovery Service run.
- Web Parts by Part and Web Parts by Site analyses have been consolidated into a single Web Parts analysis.
- Support for SharePoint 2010 has been discontinued to allow for future performance upgrades.

Version 8.5 is in limited support and scheduled to discontinue support on November 5, 2022.
