The tabs at the top level of the Database Analysis drilldown are the Databases tab and Criteria tab:
Databases tabThis tab lists all active databases and partitions in an instance. Columns in the tab show database status and statistics, including buffer pool hit ratio, asynchronous and synchronous I/O, logical I/O, physical I/O, locks held, locks waiting, and number of applications connected. You can scan this tab to quickly identify potential problems and monitor I/O activity since the last refresh of the Spotlight interface.—
Criteria tabThis tab lets you define criteria for filtering the list in the Databases tab. Filtering allows you to narrow the scope of the list in order to focus on certain partitions. For example, you might filter the list to see databases or partitions with the most physical I/O, the most locks held, or greatest log usage.—
In addition to filtering the Databases tab, you can use various display features to control how information is shown. You can organize columns from left to right, hide and show columns, and sort the tab by values in a certain column. To sort by a certain column, click the column header. Being able to sequence and sort columns in different ways allows you to quickly identify different performance problems.
You can also use the Show All Active Databases option. When you are connected to a global node it enables showing all partitions of all databases. If disabled and on a global node it shows all partitions in the current database. When you are connected to a partition node it enables showing the partition node where the DBPartitionNumber refers to the current connected partition node. If disabled and connected to a partition node it enables showing the current databases where the DBPartitionNumber refers to the current connected partition node and the DBName refers to the current Database name.
