What Fields Are Required To Be Mapped When Importing LDAP Users To The KACE Appliance? -
Description
An error is received when attempting to import users via LDAP, or when setting up the Helpdesk, and any email from imported users creates a new user in the SMA/SDA. -
Cause
LDAP Fields are incorrectly mapped during the initial LDAP import or scheduled Import. -
Resolution
Only these 3 fields need to be mapped, and they have to be mapped correctly. Ldap Uid, Username, and Email
These fields should be mapped accordingly.
Ldap Uid:Object GUID
Username:samaccountname
Email:Mail
Note: In the filed mappings there are three fields that show in red text. (Ldap UID, Username, and Email)These are required fields by KACE and any user that is missing data in one of these fields fails the import requirement.
