There are three ways to address this situation, as to allow for further testing of a patch deployment:
- Increase the maximum deploy attempts from the Patch Schedule
- Reset the tries for deploy attempts of every patch on a specific machine from the Device Details
- Reset the tries for a specific patch from the Patch Detail page
To increase the maximum deploy attempts from the patch schedule:
- Go to Security | Schedules | (specific deploy schedule) | Deploy | Maximum Deploy Attempts
- Change the number in the field to one that is higher than the current saved value (from 1 to 10)
Note: If you specify zero '0', the deployment or rollback does not run. A value higher than ten "10" results in an error message.
- Click Save
To reset tries on all patches for a specific device:
- Click Inventory | (specific device) | Security | Patching Detect/Deploy Status | Deployment Status
- Click Reset Tries
To reset tries for a specific patch:
- Go to Security | Catalog | (specific patch) | Deployment Status
- Click Reset Tries
