In the KACE SMA the status of a patch is 'PATCHED', while Windows Update is showing that same patch as not being installed. This issue can be seen the other way around as well.
Check the following:
1. On the client machine, check to see if the patch installed under Control Panel | Show Updates | Look for the specific patch in question and see if it is installed or not.
2. Go to http://SMA/adminui | Inventory | Select Target Device | Software | Expand "Installed Patches via Inventory". Does the patch show up in the list?
3. Run a patch detection for that specific patch to see what the KACE SMA appliance is looking for to determine that patch is installed or not in the KAgentl.log in C:\ProgramData\Quest\KACE\user.
4. Run Windows Update and check the status of the patch shown.
If the issue can't be spotted, send the following list of items to KACE Support:
1. Screenshot of the patch in Control Panel | Programs and Features | Installed Updates on the specific machine of the specific patch.
2. Screenshot of the results of Microsoft Update showing the patch status on the specific patch
3. Kapture of device after running the patch schedule. Instructions here.
4. On the KACE SMA, Export the Inventory of the machine in PDF format: Go to Inventory | Expand all and save the inventory of the machine in PDF format. Make sure the following two items are included in the PDF:
