Getting Hardware service time from ESXi hosts -
Description
With KACE SMA it is possible to get the informations about license time for Dell servers and workstations using the KACE agent or agentless inventory via ssh or winRM.ESXi hosts cannot inventoried over ssh/winRM, so SNMP is needed which gives much less informations. -

Object Identifier (OID) Category Property SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.47.1.1.1.1.12.1 Hardware Manufacturer SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.47.1.1.1.1.11.1 Hardware BIOS Serial Number Now this SNMP Inventory Configuration can be used in the system:
Inventory | Devices | Device Detail: VMWARESERVER | Activities | Manage Associated SNMP Configurations and choose the newly created one.After a new inventory run the service time is seen and also usable in reports etc.
There are much more OID which can be mapped to read out much more information. -
Additional Information
Since 7.x the KACE SMA also supports the agentless devices using the VMware connection type. The above is still valid for any agentless Dell system
