This article describes the permission requirements for VMware host agentless inventory. -
Resolution
VMware agentless inventory functionality in version 8.x of the KACE Systems Management Appliance requires read access globally for the VMware host. The read-only permissions should be granted to the account at the global level as pictured below (qatest account would be used for agentless inventory in this example).
