What you need to do:
There are three options available:
- Upgrade to QoreStor on a new system and replicate the data from your DR Appliance to the new server.
- This is the best option as you will get hardware support from your chosen hardware vendor and software support from Quest.
- This simplifies the data migration as QoreStor is based on DR Appliance technology with more significant features.
- QoreStor runs on platforms from most major hardware vendors, as well as in a Virtual Machine, on-prem or in cloud. You can choose the best fit for your needs.
- Do an in-place conversion to QoreStor and use a third party support company.
- This option provides you with Software support from Quest and hardware support from your chosen third party supplier.
- You won’t have to move your data as it’s all held in-place and you can take advantage of QoreStor’s features.
- If you want to move to newer hardware later, you can transfer your QoreStor license.
- Don’t change - you will no longer have support for either hardware or software on your appliance.
- This means that you will no longer be able to get support on the DR appliance when it goes end-of-life.
- You won’t be able to leverage the new technology that QoreStor provides.
