Spotlight on Oracle 10.4 - Release Notes

Session Waits Page

The Session Waits page shows the amount of time a session spent waiting for resources to become available.

When an Oracle session needs a resource that is not available or performs disk I/O, Oracle records the type and duration of the wait.

To open the Session Waits page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle connection in the Spotlight Browser.
  2. Click I/O | Sessions Page.

  3. Select the session to view in detail.
  4. Click Session Waits.

Note: Alternatively, you can view Session Waits on the Top Sessions | Session Waits Page.

If you selected fast initialization (Oracle Initialization) when you connected to the database, the name of the table or index is not shown.
