A description of the threshold. This description appears as a ToolTip on the home page as you move your mouse pointer over the specific statistic value, graph, or dataflow for which this threshold is currently active. The description also appears on the Alarm Log when this threshold triggers an alarm.

You can enter up to 256 characters in this text box. You might find it helpful to include one or more of the following variables in the text:

• { value} —Inserts the caption for the current statistic.

• { connect} —Inserts the name, as defined on the database server, of the DB2 instance or database whose home page you are currently viewing.

• { range} —Inserts the start value for the range of values covered by the threshold.

For example, if a threshold starts at 50, you might type the following text in this field:

This threshold starts at { range }

The following tip appears on the home page when the threshold is active:

This threshold starts at 50

Note: Always type a variable name in lower case.
