The number of index pages belonging to a tablespace that were copied from buffer pools into extended storage. This copying is required to make space for new pages in the buffer pool. Each of these writes has a cost associated with it.

Note: Pages written to extended storage might never be required or might be forced out of extended storage before they are needed back into the buffer pool.
