Log Reader - Undo or Redo Commands

Use the Undo/Redo wizard to generate the SQL script to rollback a transaction or to undo or redo individual DML or DDL commands executed on the database, as recorded in the loaded log file. For more information, see Supported DDL and DML Commands.

You can apply the script directly to the database, or open the script in the Toad Editor for review. See Toad Editor for more information.

To access the wizard to undo or redo individual commands

  1. Select the DML/DDL page in the Log Reader window.
  2. Select the checkbox next to each command that you want to undo or redo.

Note: If you select multiple commands, you can either undo all these commands or redo all the commands. You cannot mix the undo and redo operations within the selected group of commands.

  3. Click Undo/Redo Wizard on the Log Reader toolbar.
  4. Complete the wizard.

To access the wizard to rollback an entire transaction

  1. Select the DML/DDL page in the Log Reader window.
  2. Select the checkbox next to a command that belongs to the transaction you want to roll back.
  3. Right-click within the command list, and select Rollback Transaction. All commands that were executed within that transaction are automatically selected.
