Note: the following procedure is for "software" Core installations and not for DL appliance devices. For DL appliances, please look for "Factory Reset using RASR" process:
After OS has been reinstalled, please perform the following steps:
- run Windows Updates
- install exactly same version of Rapid Recovery that has been running before the crash
- download and apply license from Licensing Portal https://rapidrecovery/licenseportal.com
- open Core console, click on Settings (gearbox icon)
- click on Restore Settings hyperlink on the top of the right pane
- point it to the folder where repository files are located. It could be Data or Metadata folder
- check Restore Repositories checkbox. It's possible that pathes to repository folders changed in new OS installation. Fix path option will be provided if repository/extension is having incorrect (red) status
Core will load the original configuration and restart Core service automatically
Verify that everything is functioning correctly, agents are having green status and backups are working.
Once everything is done, please open Licensing Portal webpage again, click on Cores and delete the old Core entry.
