Description
Hyper-V exports, one time or continuous, fail with:
Cannot execute an export task
Exception chain:
• Insufficient quota to complete the requested service
• Call to service method http://192.168.10.22:8010/apprecovery/api/hypervagent/vhd/8237f805-eaf4-4852-b5d1 97c886c71fc4/write/BaseDisk/23965984/16368 POST failed: Insufficient quota to complete the requested service
• Cannot execute an export task
• One or more errors occurred. -
Cause
"Insufficient quota" implies WMI issues on the Hyper-V host. Issues can be due to outstanding windows updates, extended periods of time with out reboot of the Hypervisor, or WMI errors. -
Resolution
Solution:
- Patch Hyper-V host and reboot.
- Repeat until host is fully patched.
- Resume exports.
- If exports continue to fail with same error, check Windows Events for WMI errors and resolve as needed.
- If exports continue to fail with same error and you do not see WMI errors contact Support and open a Service Request.
