1.Allow WMI to run through Windows Firewall . You can do it through Control Panel or using command prompt:
● Open command prompt and type the following command: netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="windows management instrumentation (wmi)" new enable=yes
2. Allow remote access for WMI namespaces for Authenticated users:
Enable remote access to Root namespace:
● Navigate to Computer Management console. In the Services and Applications submenu select WMI Control.
● Right-click on WMI Control and select Properties.
● Open Security tab, select Root and click Security button.
● Check Remote Enable checkbox for Authenticated Users account.
● Click Apply button.
Enable remote access to Root CIMV2 namespace:
● Expand Root branch, select CIMV2, click Security button.
● Check Remote Enable checkbox for Authenticated Users.
● Click Apply button.
3. Allow remote launch for WMI DCOM through dcomcnfg.exe:
● Click Start, click Run and type dcomcnfg.exe
● In the Console Root expand branch: Component Services - Computers - My Computer.
● Right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
● Select COM Security tab and click Edit Limits for Access Permissions.
● Allow Remote Launch for Everyone.
● Click OK.
● Navigate back to the Console Root. In the expanded pane (Component Services - Computers - My Computer - DCOM Config) find Windows Management and Instrumentation tab.
● Right-click on it and choose Properties.
● Go to Security tab and click Edit button on Launch and Activation Permissions pane.
● Check Remote Launch and Remote Activation checkboxes for Authenticated Users.
● Click OK.
● Edit Access Permissions and allow Remote Access to Administrators user.
4. Allow administrative shares:
● Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
Create or modify existing DWORD value LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy to be 1.
5. Run Hyper-V export.
