To resolve the issue, IPv6 should be disabled or IPv4 addressing should have a higher priority.
Please verify if IPv6 is having a higher priority by:
If localhost is resolving to 127.0.0.1 then IPv4 is having higher priority and nothing else need to be done. But if localhost is resolving to ::1 address, this means IPv6 has a higher priority. Please perform the following steps:
Attempt the perform a virtual export operation again
If the problem persists,
On the core, open the AppRecovery log file on the Core. ( C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\Logs\AppRecovery.log )
Scroll to the bottom of the log file to find the most recent entries. If you see a timeout error like the following:
WCFClientBase.ServiceMethodCallTimedOutException: Call to service method https://hostname:8006/apprecovery/api/agent/metadata/fullMetadata PUT failed: Service method call timed out after 00:05:00.0068883 ---> Microsoft.Http.HttpStageProcessingException: GetResponse timed out ---> System.TimeoutException: GetResponse timed out ---> System.Net.WebException ---> System.Net.WebException: The operation has timed out
Then locate the protected machine and remove it from protection (keeping recovery points).
Attempt to perform the virtual export operation again.
