After an upgrade to Rapid Recovery 6.x the Core console shows "Replay.Core.Contracts.Backup.ScheduledArchiveCollection" -
Description
After a Rapid Recovery upgrade, in the Core Console the following error is visualized:
"Failed Services scheduledBackupService: Ambiguous choice between types in application domain: preferred assembly does not contain type with such name while two or more other do. Type name: Replay.Core.Contracts.Backup.ScheduledArchiveCollection" -
Cause
This is a known defect D-31310. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND:
1. Stop the Rapid Recovery Core Service
2. Open Registry Editor
3. Make a Backup of the Registry
4. Remove following Registry key :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\ScheduledArchiveConfiguration\ScheduledArchives
5. Start the Rapid Recovery Core Service
