How to Extend a DVM Repository (4036061)

How to extend the size of your Rapid Recovery repository.

If your repository is either running out of available space, or has already done so, you can extend the size of the repository by creating an extent. This will enable you to store additional data on the repository without receiving any errors.

Caution: Once you create an extent, you cannot delete it without deleting the entire repository. Please check the size of your repository prior to creating an extent.

Note: Some browsers may or may not allow you to save/create settings. If you are unable to save/create please attempt another browser.

1. On the drive where repository data is stored, create new folder, say "RepoExt01".
2. On the Core UI, click on the Configuration tab.
3. Expand the Repository on which you would like to add an extent.
4. On the Action bar, select Add Storage Location - the Add Storage Location window should appear.
5. Select the Path - point it to the folder created in step #1 above.
6. Set the Size of the new extent and note to adjust for MB, GB or TB.
7. Click Save to create the extent

You should now see the new extent under the Storage Locations bar on the selected Repository.
