To confirm the metadata integrity and the structural integrity of the seed drive's metadata, follow the steps below to use the Archive Check.
1. Upgrade the core build from any build up to the 5.4.2.228 to be able to use the Archive Check funcation. You may apply the latest cumulative patch that is available by contacting support but this is not a requirement at this time.
2. After the seed drive is created, navigate to the location of the AABAckup folder where the data is created and locate the metadata.xml file that is in this folder.
3. Make a copy of the .xml file. Edit the file and change the tag from True to False between the <seeddrive> tags </seeddrive>. Save the file.
4. Create an archive of the agent for which the seed drive was created for. For example, the archive can be as small as for the SRP volume. If all other volumes are backing up together in a single recovery point, the SRP volume can be snapped individually and archve taken of the latest SRP recovery point individually.
5. Navigate to the location of the archive folder and locate the CoreInfo folder. Copy this folder into the seed drive AABackup folder.
6. Perform the Archive Check under the Tools menu on the Core UI. The archive check with and without the Structure Integrity checkbox checked, will complete and provide the outcome.
