Virtual Standby fails to export after upgrading to Rapid Recovery 6.0.1

Virtual standby fails to export after upgrading to Rapid Recovery 6.0.1 with the following error in the logs:

System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> Replay.Core.Contracts.Export.ExportException: Cannot execute an export task  ---> System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> Replay.Common.VddkApi.Contracts.Exceptions.VddkApiOpenFailedException: Operation 'Open' with connection = 'Connection 0x783395347488' path = '[GCUNAS01-1] GCUSRV05/disk0-000002.vmdk' openFlags = 'VIXDISKLIB_FLAG_NONE' failed with VddkApiException: You do not have access rights to this file

This has been identified as Defect D-31877.

Workaround:

1. Stop the Core service
2. Open up regedit Navigate to HKLM\SOFTWARE\AppRecovery\Core\VSphereService
3. Add the string value of Name = PreferredTransport and a Value data = nbd
4. Start the Core service
5. Recreate Virtual Standby (delete VM on ESXi server and Core UI)
6. Force export If export is still failing please contact support
