CPUU and Outlook 2016 (4277122)

When running CPUU (Client Profile Updating Utility) against a switched user the following is displayed in the CPUU log.

Download the latest version of CPUU (The Client Profile Updating Utility) 5.6 from the following location

support for Outlook 2016 is only available with CPUU 5.6 & ABOVE WITH 8.13 of Migration Manager for Exchange & ABOVE

Note: There is some confusion between the Release Notes for CPUU 5.5.13 and the Administrative Guide,the Release Notes clearly state:

·        Support for processing Microsoft Outlook 2016 profiles when CPUU is used with On Demand Migration for Email.

and the Administrative Guide states:

CPUU supports Microsoft Outlook 2007/2010/2013/2016 (for Outlook 2016, the only supported scenario is the profile switch). It can be used in conjunction only with the following products:

·        Quest Migration Manager for Exchange 8.9 or earlier

·        Quest Migration Manager 8.13 or later

·        On Demand Migration for Email 1.8 or later

TIP: Limited support for Microsoft Outlook 2016: If you work with Outlook 2016, you must set Skip=All in CPUU.ini. This helps you avoid confusions with errors in the log.  If you have not downloaded the latest CPUU.
